Full day D-Day
Visit
A full-day tour, with a lunch break:
British military cemetery
Located in Bayeux, this cemetery contains almost 4,600 graves of British and Commonwealth soldiers.
Arromanches-les-Bains
The ‘Mulberry B’ artificial harbour designed for the British on the ‘Gold’ beach. Today, we can see the ‘phoenix’ caissons that formed the sea wall.
Longues-sur-Mer German Battery
Located in the British sector of Gold, the German battery at Longues-sur-Mer is one of the best preserved.
Port-en-Bessin
Successively a military stronghold, a maritime town, an oil port and a small-scale fishing port, Port-en-Bessin-Huppain has left its mark on history over the centuries.
Pointe du Hoc
The German battery on the cliff housed 6 guns and formed part of the Atlantic Wall. The Rangers had to neutralise these guns.
Omaha Beach
Nicknamed ‘Bloody Omaha’, this beach in the American sector was the scene of the deadliest assault in the early hours of 6 June 1944.
Colleville-Sur-Mer American Cemetery
Conceded in perpetuity in the United States, the Colleville-sur-Mer American Cemetery overlooks Omaha Beach.
The programme
We will meet in Bayeux, where you can have a look at the British military cemetery. Then we will hit the road together. I will explain to you why the D-Day took place here in Normandy, on 6 June 1944. At each landings site, I will tell what happened and leave you enough free time to take photos. In the middle of the tour, we will take an hour’s break so that you can taste Normandy's delicacies with your companions.

FAQs
Do you have a question? Please do not hesitate to ask via the contact form.
Are the sites accessible?
Access to the German batteries and the German cemetery is very difficult for people with reduced mobility. The ground is either covered in stones or mud. Only the American cemetery is accessible.
Are animals permitted?
Pets are prohibited on most sites, even if they are kept on a leash.
Are there any shops nearby?
The sites we will be visiting are isolated. There are no shops nearby. For the "Full Day - D-Day" tour, a lunch break is scheduled in the village of Port-en-Bessin.
Can I bring my children?
I adapt to young children. Think about car seats and baby carriers for toddlers, as the sites can sometimes be impassable for a pushchair.
Is there a special dress code?
We will be visiting military cemeteries, where proper dress is required. We will be walking for up to 30 minutes per site, so comfortable shoes are essential.
Is payment secure?
Payment is 100% secure!
You can pay by card or Paypal. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send me a message via the contact form.
